Josh Homme Joins the Arctic Monkeys Onstage

(Radio.com) When Arctic Monkeys performed at Los Angeles' Wiltern last week, fans got more than they paid for. As the opening chords of their last song, AM track "Knee Socks," was played, it just seemed like any other set-closer. Nearly four minutes in, a special guest joined the band on the song.

As the lights went out and a distinct falsetto was heard side stage, the crowd erupted once they realized it was Queens of the Stone Age's Josh Homme who entered the venue.

The spotlight was lit on Homme as he alternated vocals with the Arctic Monkeys' Alex Turner, much as he does on AM. Talk about punishing the folks who left early to beat traffic!

This, of course, isn't the first time the two have collaborated. Earlier this year, Turner guested on QOTSA's Like Clockwork. Homme returned the favor when he guested on two tracks from the Arctic Monkeys' brand new album, AM, including "Knee Socks." Check out video of the guest appearance here.
