Coolio Cooked Dinner, Rapped for Some Random College Kids
. "He seemed like a really great guy, had some life lessons for us and some really deep conversation," said Lorcan O'Mahony, a law student at the university. "It was absolutely surreal." O'Mahony, who backed up Coolio on guitar in the video uploaded by YouTube user and O'Mahony's friend Olivia Johnson-Aley, spoke to Radio.com recounting the experience. O'Mahony posted the video to Reddit where he performs "Gangsta's Paradise" with the veteran Los Angeles rapper and from there, it's spread quickly. He, Johnson-Aley and friends met Coolio on a "student outing," Johnson-Aley writes on the YouTube video description, and the "Cookin' with Coolio" web show host and cookbook author volunteered to cook for them the next night. Coolio was in town for a concert at the local university. "I didn't go to the concert unfortunately," O'Mahony said. "The rest of my friends went and got into the VIP section and partied with him during the night. Next thing I know, Coolio is coming over for dinner. Not something you prepare for every day."
