(Radio.com) Taylor Swift wrapped up the U.S. leg of her RED Tour last month and has been hinting at new music on the way. On Monday (October 21), fans heard one of the songs she's been working on.

The track, "Sweeter than Fiction," sounds like it's straight out of the '80s with its synth-heavy beats and vocals that tell a tale of triumph that recalls, in part, the storyline of "Mean."

"I've seen you fall, seen you crawl on your knees wish I could make it better/ Some day you won't remember/ This pain you thought would last forever and ever," she sings.

The song was written with fun.'s Jack Antonoff, who hinted that it's not only featured on the soundtrack for the British film One Chance but was inspired by a certain well-known director from the '80s. more on this story
