Steve Aoki, Kaskade and A-Trak Issue MDMA Warning
. The clip was originally produced back in 2010 by URB following the MDMA-related death of 15-year-old Sasha Rodriguez at that year's Electric Daisy Carnival in Los Angeles. The site was commissioned to make the video by the city's "Rave Task Force" that was formed following the tragedy "to address the public health and safety issues inherent at large-scale electronic music events." According to a statement from URB, the video, which also features DJ Z-Trip, Tommie Sunshine and Black Eyed Peas member apl.de.ap, was eventually shelved in the "political fallout" surrounding Electric Daisy Carnival. "In light of the recent deaths at the Electric Zoo Festival and other EDM events, we decided this information was too important not to share," the statement continues as to why it's now seeing the light of day. "We hope everyone will help spread this message." That message is a six-point plan aimed specifically at party-going ravers in regards to MDMA. Read them and watch the PSA here.
