(Radio.com) The rumors were true. Kanye West has just announced a headlining tour, his first full solo tour almost five years. The Yeezus Tour will hit up most major markets in North America, kicking off October 19 in Seattle. Kanye has enlisted Kendrick Lamar as an opener, with more special guests to be announced. Tickets most of the dates on sale September 13.

The Yeezus Tour follows Kanye's 2008 Glow In The Dark tour, a massive sight and sound spectacular that featured Rihanna, Lupe Fiasco, N.E.R.D., and Nas as openers.

Kanye was last seen live giving one of our favorite live acts at the MTV VMAs with a shadowy, understated performance of "Blood On The Leaves", as well as a rousing, more festival-ready headlining set at New York City's Governors Ball.

The first Glow In The Dark tour had so much tech behind it that it caused Kanye to be universally vilified at 2008′s Bonnaroo for a 4:30 a.m. start time.

In 2011, Kanye skipped out on a tour behind his 2010 album My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy and instead toured the world with his pal Jay Z behind their joint album, Watch The Throne. more on this story
