Sting Announces TV Appearances

Sting has announced that he will be appearing on Late Show with David Letterman as well as on Charlie Rose to promote the release of his new studio album.

The first appearance will take place next Monday, September 30th, when Sting will be a guest on Letterman. One month later on October 30th, he will appear on Charlie Rose on PBS.

Sting's new album, The Last Ship," takes its name from and was inspired by his Broadway play that will coming out next year. The album was produced by Rob Mathes (Eric Clapton, Elton John, Lou Reed) and engineered and mixed by Donal Hodgson.

The album features several musicians that hail from the North East of England, including Kathryn Tickell, Peter Tickell, Julian Sutton, The Wilson Family, The Unthanks and special guests Jimmy Nail and AC/DC frontman Brian Johnson.

Tonight, Sting kicks off a limited 10-night run (September 25 - October 9) at the Anspacher Theater in New York City that will benefit The Public Theater in NYC.
