(Radio.com) HAIM's long awaited debut album Days Are Gone won't drop until Sept. 30 but fans can get an early listen on NPR. The Los Angeles based sister act, comprised of Este, Danielle and Alana Haim, recently sat down with Radio.com and found it incredulous that they have fans. "We think it's our mom buying all the tickets to our shows," Este, the eldest, said. "And then distributing them to all our friends."

The sisters began their career at a young age as a family band with their parents. After performing local festivals with classic covers like Van Morrison's "Brown Eyed Girl," the girls started writing together and touring with acts like Mumford and Sons, Florence + the Machine and Rihanna. The band soon got the attention of Jay Z, who signed them and is releasing the album on his label, Roc Nation.

The LP includes their latest single "The Wire," which they wrote in 2008 and recorded 15 times over the past five years. "It was an emotional roller coaster," Danielle said. "We would work on it and then put it away for months and months before trying to record it again." more on this story
