(Radio.com) A celebration to commemorate 50 years of music from The Kinks may involve a reunion tour, according to guitarist Dave Davies, who recently told Rolling Stone there is a "50/50 chance" of a Kinks tour in 2014.

Five years ago Davies hinted at a reunion during an interview with BBC Radio 4, but months later denied a full-fledged reunion tour would take place.

Getting the band back for just one show has been a challenge since 2004, when Davies suffered a stroke that left him almost entire incapacitated and unable to play guitar. In fact, it was years after the stroke before Davies would even try to relearn the instrument.

Davies says that the "ball is very much in Ray's [Davies] court," and that there is still the task of finding a replacement for bassist Peter Quaife, who died in 2010. more on this story
