Freedom To Glide Releasing New Concept Album

(Prog) Freedom To Glide will release their World War I theme concept album Rain on November 11, they've confirmed. The 15-track record has been three years in the making, and it's been a real labour of love for Pete Riley and Andy Nixon, both members of leading Pink Floyd tribute act Dark Side Of The Wall.

The story is based on the experiences of Riley's grandfather, Corporal Robert WIlson, who survived the 1914-18 conflict. "Rain will be released on Monday 11th November a date that's very poignant for the subject," Riley tells Prog.

"It's our tribute to those whose lives have been changed for ever by the futility of war. With the 100th anniversary of the start of WWI next year, we feel it's a very important message." more on this story
