(The Blues) The unwitting purchase of a guitar stolen from B.B. King has led to one fan writing a book about the great man's instruments. B.B. King's Lucille And The Loves Before Her was inspired after Eric Dahl bought a Gibson in a Las Vegas pawn shop and later realised it belonged to the blues icon himself.

Dahl says: "I've collected guitars since high school and I continued that when I moved to Vegas. I got in good with some of the owners, and I told them to let me know if something interesting ever came in."

Responding to a call in 2009 he purchased the guitar, then discovered a stamp reading "Prototype 1" on its back. He spoke to Gibson, who confirmed it had been presented to King in 2005 then stolen four years later. more on this story
