(The Blues) Canadian trio MonkeyJunk have streamed brand-new track You Make A Mess. It's taken from their latest album All Frequencies, which marks their foray into exploring new ways to deliver powerful music without a bassist.

Frontman Steve Marriner tells the Ottawa Citizen: "Since the last record, I've had this guitar made that allows for a lot more bottom end. It really helped make the sound fuller.

"We have to find other ways of making the sound. I think that's what makes us unique."

Drummer Matt Sobb makes no apologies for stepping further away from their blues roots. "On this one, the shackles are completely off," he says. "There's no consideration that we have to have a ballad or a certain type of song that went together in a certain type of way. They all just came out of us. These were the songs that were flowing out of us and they happen to go together nicely." Stream the new song here.
