Scarface Reveals Album and Book Release Plans

(Radio.com) Houston rap icon Scarface is working on both a new album and a book, Deeply Rooted. "I talk about my life," the former Geto Boys rapper says of the book he's writing.

"I talk about the good times, the bad times…the game's the same, you know. It don't switch. The same rules apply in this game as it did in the other games that we played."

"He's a legend," adds rap scribe Benjamin Meadows-Ingram, who is coauthoring the book with the rapper. "It's an honor and a privilege to work on the project. It just means a lot."

Snippets of new music can be heard throughout the clip, which includes Scarface showing off a series of tattoos along his arms and scenes from a recent photo shoot with photographer Ray Yau.

During the shoot, Scarface reveals himself to be a fan of Schoolboy Q, demanding to hear the Chromatics-sampling single, "Man of the Year," from his major label debut, Oxymoron. Check out the preview video.
