(Radio.com) Avicii is still ailing. The superstar DJ, recovering from recent gall bladder surgery that caused him to cancel a highly publicized headlining slot at this year's Ultra Music Festival in Miami, has been forced to push back the launch of his American tour.

The tour, in support of his latest album, True, was originally set to kick off in Boston this Thursday, April 10, at Boston's TD Garden. According to Boston's Mix 104.7 (a Radio.com station), that show has been rescheduled for June 25. Tickets purchased for the April event will be honored at the new June date.

Boston isn't the only city that will have to wait for its dose of live Avicii. The "Wake Me Up" producer also had to pull out of a show in Bahrain this past weekend connected to the Formula 1 World Championship auto race, as well as another gig in Dubai.

Avicii (born Tim Bergling) has been keeping fans abreast of his recovery via Twitter, revealing that he also had a ruptured appendix that was removed along with his gall bladder during surgery. He went on to relate that while he was stuck in the hospital recovering, he was able to catch up on the second season of Netflix series House of Cards. more on this story
