Vince Neil Excited About Country Stars Covering Motley Crue

(hennemusic) When Motley Crue announced their farewell tour in January, the band also revealed plans for a country music tribute album of their work, and singer Vince Neil says he's looking forward to the project.

"I thought the idea for the tribute album was cool until I started talking to everybody," Neil told Billboard at the 49th annual Academy of Country Music Awards in his hometown of Las Vegas, Nevada on Sunday. "Then I thought it was cooler and cooler and cooler!"

"When you look at the song catalog, the songs are going to be the things that stand the test of time," said Big Machine Records founder Scott Borchetta when the project was announced. "I'm going to match up some of my outlaw artists with some of these great songs and we're going to go pretty wide." more on this story
