Raekwon Releases New Song 'The Living Room'
. Over a bed of horns, applause and soul samples, the man born Corey Woods spits rapid-fire verses in multiple segments. "The Living Room," after all, is not a traditional song in the sense that it sticks to one idea through repeated verse and chorus deliveries. The tune jumps between samples and feels, from a more horn-infused approach at its beginning to soulful backing "oohs" and piano beneath a second part. Finally, the song - or at least Raekwon's part - ends rather abruptly, finishing out with a sample the Bacharach-David tune "Walk On By" performed by Dionne Warwick. "The Living Room" precedes a potential Raekwon release of his album Fly International Luxurious Art, which has been teased since 2013 and is currently slated for release next month - though nothing's set in stone just yet.
