Childish Gambino Releases 'Sweatpants' Video

(Radio.com) Childish Gambino released the music video for "Sweatpants," the latest single off his sophomore LP, Because the Internet. Following in the footsteps of previous videos for "3005″ and "The Worst Guys," the clip finds a fairly moody Gambino as he experiences some sort of Groundhog Day scenario in a local diner, with increasingly offbeat results.

At first, the rapper enters the restaurant, sits down with some friends and leaves out the side door; nothing out of the ordinary, necessarily. But after a second trip inside, one slowly starts noticing some of the folks inside being replaced by Glover clones. A third jaunt inside? Everyone, including the waiters, is Gambino in different attire, all staring straight ahead at the original.

The video ends on an equally trippy note, with the rapper crooning the tune's final hook amid multiple dancers. What does it all mean? Take a guess - any guess.

The video's release comes shortly after Glover played a set at last weekend's Coachella, plus a quick cameo during Jhene Aiko's performance at the fest on her song "Bed Peace." Watch the video here.
