Original Venom Reunion Not Going To Happen

(Classic Rock) Venom co-founder Jeff 'Mantas' Dunn has shot down rumours of a classic lineup reunion - revealing that he's spoken to Conrad 'Cronos' Lant directly about the possibility.

The pioneering British metal outfit continue today behind Lant, but speculation had been circling for some time that he, Mantas and Tony 'Abaddon' Bray were getting back together.

Dunn, who's now with M-Pire Of Evil, confirms there was a grain of truth behind the stories. He says: "I received a call almost a year ago from the original management. "As time went by it became obvious to me that the two people who had to communicate in some way were the two of us. I made the decision to contact Conrad to get an answer, which would basically come down to a simple 'yes' or 'no.'"

The guitarist admits he was nearly certain of the reply he'd receive, and that he had his own reservations about a reunion. He's not surprised to say: "The answer came back as 'no.' more on this story
