Clint Eastwood Directed Jersey Boys Coming To Theaters
. The part of Frankie Valli is played by Broadway's John Lloyd Young, who won a Tony for his portrayal of Valli. Other than Christopher Walken in the role of Angelo "Gyp" DeCarlo, the mobster who in real life funded the rise of not only Valli but Frank Sinatra, the rest of the cast is made up of unknowns and on-the-rise actors. The trailer alone indicates it will be a very music-heavy production, and features the Valli and Four Seasons hits "Rag Doll", "I Can't Give You Anything But Love", "Sherrie", "Big Girls Don't Cry", "Can't Take My Eyes Off You" and "Who Loves You." The Broadway cast recording of Jersey Boys was certified platinum by the RIAA in 2009. This will be Eastwood's first movie-musical. The dramatic telling of the story of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons hits screens on June 20. Watch the trailer here. Radio.com is an official news provider for antiMusic.com.
