Y&T Taking 40th Anniversary Tour To Europe

(hennemusic) Oakland, California rockers Y&T have announced some new dates for a fall European tour as they continue to celebrate their 40th anniversary. The 6-week trek starts October 7 in Rome, Italy and will see the band wrap things up with 11 shows across the UK, ending in Bilston, UK on November 15.

Y&T formed in 1973 as a cover band known as Yesterday & Today; the group billed itself after the Beatles compilation album of the same name.

The band released their first two studio albums, their self-titled debut (1976) and "Struck Down" (1978) before signing with A&M in 1980, which prompted the group to shorten their name to simply Y&T. more on this story
