Dave Davies Wants Kinks Reunion
. When asked if it would truly be the Kinks without Dave, MOJO quoted Ray as saying, "Yes, it would. I think it's all down to the music. If somebody can't or won't play, there are other players out there. [Drummer] Mick [Avory] and I want to do it." But the Kinks' official Facebook page soon posted a message of their own, saying, "MOJO is wrong. There will be NO Kinks reunion without BOTH Ray and Dave Davies. Ray Davies claims to have never said this." All of this would lead one to perhaps believe that Dave Davies is, for some reason, not interested in a Kinks reunion. As it turns out, that's not so: yesterday Dave posted a short note to his Facebook page: "I would love to do some form of a Kinks reunion with Ray. - Dave." Which is consistent with what Dave told Radio.com in our interview with him last year. He was amicable to the idea of doing some kind of Kinks project with his brother: "I'm not sure about a tour, but I think we're going to try and do something. We talked about doing maybe a couple of songs. I've written a few songs with that in mind. I'm sure Ray has some ideas, of course." A lot more here.
