(Radio.com) Rivers Cuomo's college life is coming to the small screen. The Weezer frontman's return to Harvard University after taking a eight year sabbatical is the basis for an upcoming Fox pilot called DeTour.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the coming-of-age series will be written by Steve Franks, the creator of TBS' Psych, and will follow "a 30-something rock star" who goes back to college. Cuomo actually lived in the dorms while completing his bachelor's degree in English. He graduated in 2006.

Now we'll all get to see the kooky shenanigans he got into. But why do we feel like he actually spent a lot of time in that dorm room alone? Cuomo was quick to say that the show is in its early stages and that Fox may have jumped the gun with their press release, tweeting, "Pretty much every show makes a pilot before it goes on the air. Only 1 in 100 goes on 2 become a regular showI'll let u know if it gets more serious."
