Jared Leto and Will Smith Lead Suicide Squad Cast
. And while it remains to be seen if the film Suicide Squad will have a chart-topping soundtrack as Guardians of the Galaxy did, the film does have some prestigious names from the world of music. Here's a rundown. Jared Leto - In recent years, Leto has spent more time with his band 30 Seconds to Mars than on film sets. That may have changed in the wake of his Oscar win for his role as the transgender, drug-addicted character Rayon in last year's Dallas Buyers Club. That Academy Award may bolster his confidence for his role as one as perhaps the most recognizable supervillain of all time: the Joker, a role which has been played over the years by, notably, Jack Nicholson (1989's Batman), Heath Ledger (2008's The Dark Knight, for which he won an Academy Award) and Cesar Romero (the '60s TV series). Will Smith - The former Fresh Prince spent the early part of his film career playing good-guy roles (Bad Boys, Men in Black, Independence Day), but this time around he's playing Deadshot, an assassin with a disturbingly good success record (he never misses his shots, hence the name). Like Marvel's Spider-Man, Deadshot's entire face is covered by his mask, so don't be surprised to see some adjustments to his comic book costume so that we can see less mask and more Will.
