The usual octave-defying singer missed more than a handful of high notes and even managed to skim all of the notes in the chorus during her performance Wednesday night (Dec. 3) at the tree-lighting ceremony at Rockefeller Center in New York. Carey had a very messy start to her holiday special. She was supposed to pre-record her annual rendition of her Christmas song, according to TMZ. The pop star apologized on Twitter before the performance even aired due to missing the pre-recorded show.
