Alan Jackson and Kid Rock Headline SeaWorld Concerts
. Jackson took the stage on Saturday (Feb. 1) for the Bands, Brew & BBQ concert series while Kid Rock followed suit the following day. Last year, several country artists, including Martina McBride, Willie Nelson and Trisha Yearwood, pulled out of their scheduled performances after SeaWorld came under fire with the release of the documentary Blackfish. The film focuses on an orca named Tilikum who attacked and killed his trainer Dawn Brancheau, along with two others in separate instances. The film suggests that it was his life in captivity that caused the whale's aggression. "I've decided that given all the issues that have been aired recently, the time isn't right for me to play at Seaworld. I have cancelled my scheduled performance at the Bands, [Brew] & BBQ event in March 2014," McBride wrote on her Facebook page. more on this story Radio.com is an official news provider for antiMusic.com.
