(Radio.com) As Dierks Bentley gears up for the release of his forthcoming album, Riser, he wants to give fans an inside look of the recording process and how his life shaped the songs. So, he decided to document his most intimate moments in an upcoming film titled Dierks Bentley: Riser.

Bentley says in a video teaser, "I want this album to sum up who I am as a guy going through these different changes in life that happen when you lose your dad, you get married and have kids, but you're still on the road rocking and playing video games and acting like you're 13-years-old onstage with a guitar in your hand." Watch the clip below.

The film will follow Bentley's journey juggling life as a family man and musician. "With my dad passing away and trying to come out through the other side intact and stronger than ever and being the kind of person that's always going to pick themselves back up and the people around them. This is who I want to be," he said.

Film screenings will be hosted by Bentley in Los Angeles, New York, Nashville, London and Toronoto and the full film will be available for fans on Palladia Television Network on Feb. 22.

"The two phrases 'touring musician' and 'family man' were never meant to go hand-in-handit's just hard," he said in a press release. "It really hurts your heart to walk out the door on your kids. It's like the two loves of your life pulling at you - your family and your love of music. I wanted this album to be that deeper look at who I am and who I try to be, and so I guess it's the same with this film too. The first time I watched the rough edit, I actually got physically uncomfortable because it's all in theremy whole life right there on the screen for the whole world to see." more on this story
