"Out Among the Stars," which is also the title track of Cash's forthcoming album (due March 25), is a story song that tells of a man struggling to find work who holds up a liquor store. Cash recorded Out Among the Stars in the early 1980s with Billy Sherrill, the 'countrypolitan' producer who helped shape the classic sounds of such legends as Tammy Wynette, Charlie Rich and George Jones.
