Airbourne, Alice In Chains, Slayer, Mastodon Added To Sonisphere
. They'll join headliners Iron Maiden, Metallica and the Prodigy for the event that marks 40 years since the first event at Knebworth. Among the seven new additions only Ghost haven't previously taken the Sonisphere stage. Alice In Chains, Mastodon and Karnivool have also confirmed they won't appear at any other UK festivals in 2014. Airbourne's Joel O'Keeffe says: "We're fired up and chomping at the bit to bring our Black Dog Barking tour to Knebworth. This is a rock'n'roll event in time that can't be missed." Alice In Chains frontman William DuVall comments: "We're very excited to be playing once again at Sonisphere � particularly as this year has us joining our longtime friends in Metallica.
