Demo From Dave Grohl's Pre-Nirvana Band Dain Bramage Unearthed
. Now, Grohl fans can listen to the powerhouse drummer in his most nascent stage with the release of a new Dain Bramage demo from 1986, recently unearthed by Antiquiet. Amidst pre-grunge jams like "In the Dark" and the Husker Du-ish "Space Cat," the young trio crank out a cover of Grand Funk Railroad's 1973 smash hit, "We're an American Band," which opens with a couple of unexpected turntable scratches. Grohl's talent as a drummer is apparent even on these muddy recordings, as he blazes through rapid fire fills while holding down the groove. Last September, Grohl reunited with his former Dain Bramage bandmates Dave Smith and Rueben Radding for a portrait that was posted on Twitter, although there's no indication if the photo is indicative of any impending reunion. more on this story Radio.com is an official news provider for antiMusic.com.
