Hawkwind Tour Hits Another Roadblock
. The space-rock giants had already been forced to postpone their long-awaited trip after Prog Award winner Brock was diagnosed with stress as a result of ex-member Nik Turner's attempt to register the band name on the other side of the ocean. Now their visit to Toronto on March 9 has been called off after promoter Inertia Entertainment refused to hand over some of the ticket money to fund the journey. Hawkwind say in a statement: "We have exhausted every avenue of negotiation to try and persuade Inertia Entertainment, who are holding ticket money, to release some payment so that the show can go ahead. "We have already spent money arranging to play the Toronto show, dealing with the US and Canadian visa and tax systems. This money has now been lost." More about the visa drama here.
