Sound Of Contact Release 'Pale Blue Dot' Video
. Collins says the track was inspired by a book entitled The Home Planet, which deals with the experiences of astronauts who went to space as scientists but discovered a greater human truth when they saw the Earth from above. He explains: "Our lyrics 'I went up a scientist to find out I'm only human' is a direct reference to the truth in that book. If only every single one of us on this planet could have a glimpse, like those astronauts have had, can you imagine what a different world we would live in? We would have peace on Earth. "That's what's this song is all about, as our character, Dimensionaut, finally has his own glimpse, and makes it one of his first missions to share that experience with as many people as he can."
