Ariana Grande, Nicki Minaj and Jessie J Release 'Bang Bang'
. The song, a triple feature of a track that includes Grande, Jessie J and Nicki Minaj as its lead artists, kicks off with a marked throwback feel in its retro-styled guitar as Jessie J makes a bold declaration: "She got a body like an hourglass / But I can give it to you all the time," she sings on the first verse. Eventually the song explodes into a catchy, singalong chorus, with Jessie taking the lead. "Bang bang / There goes your heart," the ladies sing over bombastic percussion, choir-like backing vocals and hand claps. And all that's before Grande jumps in with her own verse, teasing that the object of the ladies' affection needs "a bad girl to blow your mind." Then it's Minaj's turn, setting forth a blistering rap that sends the song even higher into the stratosphere than it already was - and capped off by a ceiling-busting vocal run from Jessie at its end. A collaboration on the level of "Bang Bang" brings to mind the 2001 cover of "Lady Marmalade" by Christina Aguilera, Mya, Pink and Lil Kim, with major artists of the pop genre at that time converging for a big single. "Bang Bang" is set to be featured on Grande's My Everything, out next month, as well as Jessie J's untitled next release. Currently there's no word if Minaj's The Pink Print will feature the song as well. Listen here. Radio.com is an official news provider for antiMusic.com.
