(Radio.com) After nearly (accidentally) inciting a riot at South by Southwest and terrorizing the staff at Buzzfeed, Tyler, the Creator sat down with Larry King Wednesday night (June 4) to open up about his feelings on rapping. Turns out he hates it.

In an interview with the legendary newsman for his online show, Larry King Now, Tyler says he finds it irritating that people refer to him as a "rapper" and wants to do more singing. He even noted he has a deep voice that doesn't always do what he wants and has been listening to a lot of Barry White and Isaac Hayes in hopes to perfect it.

"It puts you in this box. I'm talented enough to do other things," he said of being considered just a rapper. "I don't know, I'm pretty bored with it. It's not interesting."

Tyler also said he'd like to start making films. "I want people to mention my name next to Wes Anderson or Quentin Tarantino." Adding, "I don't want my name to be mentioned next to other rappers. At all." more on this story
