(hennemusic) Guns N' Roses performed a tribute to the late Doc Neeson of The Angels last Wednesday in Las Vegas. The frontman for the legendary Australian hard rock band passed away earlier that day at the age of 67, just 17 months after being diagnosed with a brain tumor.

"This one's for Doc. From The Angels to the angels," said Axl Rose as Guns N' Roses performed the band's classic, "Marseilles." The Angels formed in Adelaide, South Australia, in 1974 and later relocated to Sydney. The group have been named as an influence on Guns N' Roses, Pearl Jam, Nirvana and others.

Wednesday's show was the seventh of nine dates that make up Guns N' Roses second residency, "No Trickery! An Evening Of Destruction", at The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino.
