Famed Beatles engineer Geoffrey Emerick wrote in his autobiography about the superiority of The Beatles albums mixed in mono over their stereo counterparts and now fans from a new generation will be able experience most of the Beatles album catalog in mono on vinyl.

The Beatles camp announced that they will be releasing the newly remastered collection in a 14-LP vinyl box set on September 9th in North America. Fans will also be able to purchase the new reissued album titles individually.

The box set will feature the legendary group's first nine UK albums starting from 1963's Please Please Me through the White Album from 1968. The set will also include the U.S. version of Magical Mystery Tour and Mono Masters, a three-disc compilation of non-album tracks.

In addition to the LPs, the box set will also include a 108-page hard-cover book featuring new essays, rare photos, documents, articles and a history of how the albums were mastered.

Each LP will be housed in a replica of their original album sleeves and packaging. The LPs will be pressed on 180-gram vinyl. The albums were remastered at Abbey Road Studios using the original quarter-inch master tapes and were done entirely in analog and not digital, according to ABC. Preorder the box set here.
