(Radio.com) Paul Simon and Edie Brickell will not be charged for disorderly conduct after being arrested at their home last April. CBS News reports that the couple was cleared of the charges when prosecutors announced Tuesday (June 17) they had decided to not pursue the case.

Neither Simon nor Brickell appeared in Norwalk Superior Court to hear that the charges were dropped. The charges will be dropped and erased after 13 months.

The case stems from an incident April 26 between the singers at their home in Connecticut. According to CBS News, Brickell told officers Simon did something to "break her heart," causing the confrontation, which reportedly involved a physical altercation. more on this story
