Coldplay Recruit Fans For New 'A Sky Full of Stars' Video
. Directed by Kate Moross, the video's start shows Coldplay frontman Chris Martin walking down the streets of Sydney looking like a street performer with an acoustic guitar with flowers attached, harmonica, and drum kit strapped on his back. He's later joined by the rest of the band, donning similar attire. Meanwhile, fans line up beside him to take photos and have their part in an exclusive performance by the band. In an interview last month with Carson Daly on 97.1 AMP Radio/Los Angeles (a Radio.com station), Martin explained the decision to enlist EDM star Avicii's help on the track. "That's not really something that we could have done 15 years ago but now I feel like you're just free to do anything you like," he said. "This song came out in five minutes. It just came through. The first person we thought of to produce it was Tim, Avicii. He was very sweet and we pushed him so hard on it. I'm so grateful that he lent us his backwards baseball hat services."
