Swedish House Mafia's Steve Angello Giving Away Size Records Catalog
. According to the Ottawa Citizen, the #Decade campaign launched Friday (March 7) with the first 10 free tracks. Additional tunes will be rolled out over the coming weeks, with the last batch to coincide with Miami Music Week and the Ultra Music Festival later this month. "I don't think that music should always be for free, but I think if there's stuff that can be done the way we've done it now, I think labels should give it a try," Angello said of the campaign. Presenting the free music to commemorate the more than 10 years that Size Records has been in business, Angello admits that making money from the label's sales has been a challenge to say the least. "We took a pretty hard hit when it came to finances [and] trying to sell records when it became digital, so for me it really doesn't make much of a big difference financially if I give it away for free or if I sell it," he said. "So, why not?" more on this story Radio.com is an official news provider for antiMusic.com.
