Breakdancing Monks Honor the Memory of Adam Yauch on 'MCA Day'
. In honor of this year's MCA Day, a group of break-dancing Tibetan monks showed off some impressive moves in Manhattan's Union Square Park over the weekend, pop-locking and floor-rocking to a selection of Beastie Boys' classics. While there's no clarification if the dancers were actual monks or just breakers sporting the traditional robes, it's still very neat to see Yauch's Buddhist faith remembered b-boy style. Yauch was among the world's most famous Buddhists, creating the nonprofit organization the Milarepa Fund in 1994 to help support Tibetan independence, going on to organize the Tibetan Freedom Concerts in 1996.
