A Little Girl Becomes Katy Perry For A Day (Thanks To Make-A-Wish)
. But five-year-old didn't turn into any old pop star. No, no, no. She became Katy Perry for the day, bright purple wig and all. According to Make-A-Wish, when Addy wasn't too tired from chemotherapy and radiation treatments, she practiced singing and dancing, specifically Perry's "Roar," the lyrics of which helped her stand-up to cancer. So of course, it made sense that Addy would get a chance to show the world her roar with her own version of the video. But instead of traveling to the jungle like Perry did for her video, Addy goes back to school to perform at the talent show. Soon, Addy is going from singing in her hairbrush alongside her stuffed animals, to wowing her friends. Perry has yet to comment on the video, but we're sure she will. Last year, Perry headlined the We Can Survive benefit show, thrown by Radio.com and our L.A. station AMP Radio 97.1, which raised funds for the Young Survival Coalition, an organization supporting young women battling breast cancer. There she performed "Roar" alongside Ellie Goulding, Sara Bareilles, Kacey Musgraves, Tegan and Sara and Bonnie McKee. Radio.com is an official news provider for antiMusic.com.
