. But Friday night, the attention shifted back to their new album and HBO show of the same name, Sonic Highways. During a release party for the Los Angeles episode of Sonic Highways at Roxy Theatre on the Sunset Strip, the band played tracks from their new album and brought out a couple of surprise guests: Joe Walsh and Perry Farrell of Jane's Addiction. Together, they covered Jane's Addiction's 1988 single "Mountain Song," from Nothing's Shocking, with Farrell on vocals and Walsh on guitar duty, plus Walsh's own "Rocky Mountain Way," from his 1973 album The Smoker You Drink, The Player You Get.
