One Direction, Robert Plant, Sam Smith Lead Band Aid Remake
. One Direction kick off the remake of Band Aid's 1984 single, which was originally created by Bob Geldof and Midge Ureto to raise money for 1983 to 1985 famine in Ethiopia. Soon Ed Sheeran, Rita Ora, Seal, Ellie Goulding, Chris Martin, Sinead O'Connor, Emeli Sande, Jessie Ware, Bastille, Robert Plant, Marcus Mumford and Sam Smith join in. Even Bono re-appears-the only one from the original to do so-to recreate his signature line. Unfortunately, Adele did not take part in the song, though she was previously reported to be a part of the recording. The re-recorded charity single will raise funds for the prevention and treatment of Ebola in West Africa. Watch the video here. Radio.com is an official news provider for antiMusic.com.
