(Radio.com) Does Bob Geldof know it's Christmastime at all? The organizer of Band Aid and the recent Band Aid 30 single to raise money for African nations suffering from Ebola spoke to the UK's Sky News Monday (Nov. 17) about why Adele didn't take part and addressed head-on some criticism of the latest single.

Geldof confirmed that Adele did not snub Band Aid, but that he in fact did not call her to participate at all because she is taking time off to be a mother. "There is no snub, there is no nothing," he said. "It's complete nonsense Adele simply isn't doing anything."

Despite tweets from Adele to the contrary and previously released confirmation from Band Aid 30 that she would be part of the single, Geldof asserted that she is not "writing, recording, not doing interviews, not doing gigs-she's not doing [publicity]. She's doing something else in her own lifeWho cares? Who cares who doesn't do it, or doesn't want to?"

He was then asked to address divided opinion on Twitter, including those who feel celebrities should donate money to these causes rather than their time to record a charity single-and stop taking tax breaks from their own governments.

When asked what he's say to these critics, Geldof responds, "I think they're total bollocks." Find out what happened next here.
