(hennemusic) Led Zeppelin are premiering an animated video for their unreleased version of "Rock And Roll" as a preview of the upcoming expanded reissue of their 1971 release, "Led Zeppelin IV", due October 28.

"'Rock and Roll' has just got that cheeky energy about it," Jimmy Page told Rolling Stone. "It's a party. 'It's been a long time since I rock and rolled.' It says it all, really. It's great lyrics and it's a great performance."

"As a song, it was actually kind of punky; pre-punk," added bassist/keyboardist John Paul Jones. "It was really fast too, onstage anyway. It just got really quick, a lot of energy. It's a lot of fun to play. The crowd loved it. We loved it."

Released in November 1971, the album - which is officially untitled - defined the sound of rock music for a generation with ubiquitous anthems such as "Stairway To Heaven", "Rock And Roll", "Black Dog" and "When The Levee Breaks". The album was inducted into the Grammy Hall Of Fame in 1999, has been certified 23x platinum by the RIAA.
