(Radio.com) Lupe Fiasco, Jennifer Hudson and Common have come together in the name of charity. "Remission," Lupe's track that features Hudson and Common, was dreamt up as a way to promote the biennial fundraising telecast Stand Up to Cancer, a program organized by the Entertainment Industry Foundation that raises money for cancer research.

The trio, who will be performing "Remission" at the charitable event, swap verses in the uplifting song about beating the odds. "If I had a dollar / For every time they counted me out / And my back was up against the wall / I could have died but I came out fighting," Hudson belts at the chorus, keeping her lyrics vague enough to apply to a variety of situations.

Common, meanwhile, takes a more personal approach on the song, addressing his father's struggle with prostate cancer: "My dad say he got it in his prostate / When I went to see him, he done lost weight / Trying to find the words in a lost state."
