John Fogerty Joining The Voice As An Advisor

. (Radio.com) Contestants in televised singing competitions have been covering John Fogerty's songs for years, but now some hopeful up-and-coming vocalists will get actual advice from the Creedence Clearwater Revival leader himself.

On Monday night Fogerty's official twitter account tweeted the news that he will be joining the show as advisor to one of the teams. The next season of The Voice begins September 21 on NBC.

This comes as Fogerty has wrapped up his "1969" tour and it also coincides with Fogerty's memoirs, Fortunate Son: My Life, My Music, due out October 6. Read more here.
