Sammy Hagar Hints At Possible Chickenfoot Future
. Hagar posted a message on his Facebook page on Friday, sharing the news with fans that he was visiting Chickenfoot guitarist Joe Satriani. The group also featured Hagar's former Van Halen bandmate Michael Anthony and Red Hot Chili Peppers' Chad Smith. Sammy wrote, "Why does Joe got to act like that? Hanging at the studio today as he gears up for his world tour to support his awesome new CD, and he and I always messing around with song ideas to see if it taste like chicken ha ha." Many feared that Chickenfoot would never resume, including Satriani who said last month, "I don't think [Sammy] believes that making original music is worth his time any more - which is kind of sad. I just don't get that part of it." Satch appeared frustrated about the demise of the group by saying, "a band I thought really had a future is calling it quits because they think it's too difficult. I don't understand that." While it now appears that Hagar is leaving the door open for Chickenfoot to return, he is clearly focused on the future of The Circle, which also features Michael Anthony, as well as Jason Bonham and Vic Johnson. In the same message that he made the comments about Chickenfoot, he said, "as far as the circle goes we will definitely be recording new material soon for now looking forward to next week. I can't wait I love playing with this band live the circle at your service." See the post here.
