Singled Out: Threesound's The Way The Rain Came

Bobby Crim from Winchester, VA rock/neo-soul/pop quartet Threesound tells us about their song "The Way The Rain Came," which comes from their forthcoming album "Different Spaces." Here is the story:

Our guitarist/singer/keyboardist John Hayes brought the song to the table around a year and a half ago. The song itself speaks lyrically like a therapy session. The anxiety and stress of the character in the verse shines through in his vocals "I can't hold my emotion / I always cry when it rains ... / don't tell me that I'm okay / until you've felt the same " . The prechorus and hook is the therapist responding to this anxious character with logical and calming messages " come look and see / it's not what you think / just sit and breath / and listen to the words I speak " It's quite uplifting.

'The Way The Rain Came' quickly became a live fan favorite when we started bringing it out summer 2014. The audience singing the chorus with us, that feeling is so real. So by the time it came to record the track in May of 2015, we had a really good idea of the character and arrangement this song would take in the studio. Massive love and thanks to Allen Lind of Over The Hill recording for producing/mixing/mastering this piece of art. Threesound couldn't have done it with you. Our fans agree, it is now apparently our most hit song on Spotify. We'll see where it goes.

Lookout for 'Different Spaces' winter 2016 and follow us on the web and the road for all things soundbound. And remember: Your mind powers your body and soul.

Hearing is believing. Now that you know the story behind the song, listen for yourself and learn more about the album right here!
