Lupe Fiasco Goes On Tirade Online Over Supposed Grammy Snub
. The Chicago MC--born Wasalu Muhammad Jaco--has scored 12 Grammy nominations over the years (winning one for "Daydramin'" his 2008 collaboration with Jill Scott) including nods for Best Rap Album for his first four efforts, but did not garner one for his latest Tetsuo & Youth. Fiasco took to Twitter today (Dec. 7) from India and wrote "The only award I ever really cared about was the Grammy…everything I put was nominated. Until today. End Of An Era. Lemme hold that--> L." He added a ton of posts making fun of his zero nominations including photos of Sesame Street characters holding the letter "L" and a hilarious photo of Ice Cube throwing away some trash with the caption: "What's that's Ice??? You found my Grammy nomination??? Naw…just my self esteem huh…aww ok." See the series of tweets here. Radio.com is an official news provider for antiMusic.com. |
