Kanye West Seems Ok With Being Dethroned By Drake

(Radio.com) Kanye West isn't mad about Drake's success--not even a little bit. At least, that's what he'd like us to think. Though he admits the Canadian rapper knocked him from his pedestal, it's all part of his journey in ego deflation.

During a speech at the Oxford Guild Society, the verbose lightning rod broke it down: "I think that that's been a progression of mind with the advent of a human being named Drake," said West.

"You know, this idea of holding onto a number one spot. And then you get this guy that comes and blows out the water every number one of any band ever. Be it me or Paul McCartney.

"And at the point, you know, when you've lost the idea of holding onto that concept, you can leave the mountaintop finally, and walk down, and readajust, and see what your position on earth can be."
