(Radio.com) Ever since news broke on Friday (Dec.4) that Stone Temple Pilots' former lead singer Scott Weiland died at 48, musicians have been paying tribute in their own way. Slipknot's Corey Taylor joined Royal Machines-a band Dave Navarro also plays in-to perform STP's "Sex Type Thing."

The performance took place in Hollywood at the Roxy. "How about one more for Scott tonight?" Taylor asked the crowd, before the band launched into the song.

According to Rolling Stone, Navarro broke news of Weiland's death on Twitter, writing, "Just learned our friend Scott Weiland has died. So gutted, I am thinking of his family tonight." He later deleted the tweet. Watch the "Sex Type Thing" performance here.
